Jenny Beaudoin has attended Agapé Christian Church for over five years. She and her husband Steve have four beautiful children: Abbie, Ben, Ellie, and Lilly. Jenny was born and raised in Winchester, VA. She attended West Virginia University where she majored in Secondary Math Education. Jenny currently homeschools Abbie, 9, and Ben, 7, and owns four restaurants. She brings her gifts in financial administration to The Homespun Schoolhouse of Agapé.
Faith Berens lives in Stephens City with her husband Matthew, daughter Hailey, and son Hayden. Faith has a Master’s degree in Reading from Shenandoah University and 13 years of teaching experience in both public and private Christian schools. During her career, she has taught preschool, second grade, Title I reading, and been a reading specialist. Her area of expertise is early childhood reading. She currently works part-time with Home School Legal Defense Association as a Special Needs Coordinator. In addition to this, she is available for private reading evaluations and portfolio reviews for home schooled students. She attends the Church of New Beginnings which meets in Berryville, VA, where she currently serves as a youth teacher and worship team singer. Faith brings her experience in reading instruction and her passion for singing, traveling, Bible study, nature, and science to The Homespun Schoolhouse of Agapé.
Liz Campbell is a lifelong learner. After years of home schooling her children, she went back to school to finish her degree. She now holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania, and she is completing a Master’s degree in European History from American Public University in Charles Town, WV. While completing her degrees, she has worked in a photographic archive, in a university’s museum as an assistant to the curator, and as a docent at the Natural History Museum in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Her future goals are to continue her education, provide education to students from the elementary to community college level, and continue to write history in hopes of being a text book contributor one day and author of historical fiction novels. She currently resides in Winchester, VA, and works part-time as a local coordinator for international students with Horizons du Monde, a non-profit organization. She brings her love of history, languages, and learning to The Homespun Schoolhouse of Agapé.
Amy Golliday has been a member of Agapé Christian Church since 1989. Through the years she has been actively involved with the G-Force youth ministry at Agapé and KIDS Church. Amy holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a major in Computer Information Systems from James Madison University in Virginia and is employed at American Public University. Amy contributes her gifts in critical thinking, planning, and organizing as well as her communication and documentation skills. She expects her future children to benefit from The Homespun Schoolhouse of Agapé.
Ellen Huston is daughter of the founding Pastors of Agapé Christian Church. Ellen, and husband Scott, have three wonderful children, Trevor, Olivia and Casson. They serve at Agapé in Children's Ministry, Small Groups, and Exalt. After receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Oral Roberts University, and teacher certification in Virginia, Ellen began her career as a full-time substitute teacher in Prince William County. A year later, Ellen opened Agapé King's Kids Day Care and served as Director from 1993-1997. She is now serving as a teacher in the K-3 classroom at Homespun Schoolhouse of Agapé.
Beth Mason has served at Agapé Christian Church for over 8 years and is the proud mother of Jacob and Jillian. She holds a BS in Human Services Counseling and is credentialed in Human Development and Family Studies. Beth currently works for Clarke, Frederick, and Winchester Departments of Social Service as a Foster Parent Coordinator and trainer. She brings her diverse knowledge of development, children, and families to The Homespun Schoolhouse of Agapé.
Nancy Mason, Director of The Homespun Schoolhouse of Agapé, brings her visionary leadership as well as her teaching and ministry skills to The Homespun Schoolhouse of Agapé. Nancy is the lead teacher of the Upper Class. She has been a member of Agapé Christian Church for 17 years and leads Agapé’s KIDS Church Ministry. She also assists her husband, Jamey, who pastors the Next Generation Ministries of Agapé. Nancy has three children, who were homeschooled for a total of 7 years. Nancy has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and holds a current Virginia teacher certification in Kindergarten through 8th grade. She taught at Armel Elementary School for 7 years and has taught grammar classes at the Classical Cottage School.
Holly Phipps has been married for 18 years to her loving husband, Ken. Together they have five beautiful children: Kenny Jr.17, Caleb 15, Sierra 13, Amelia (“Millee”) 10 & Noah 7. She started and managed an in-home daycare business for 15 years. Now that her children are all school age, she has decided to work a little outside the home. She continues to work with children by assisting in the lower grades at Homespun and is a caregiver for the elderly through Home Instead Senior Care. She brings her love for children and her experience as a caregiver to Homespun. She is excited to see the Lord work through her in lives of children.
Dawn Rooney has been a member of Agapé Christian Church for 3 years where she is actively involved as a leader of the Prayer Ministry team. She lives in Winchester with her husband Kevin, and twelve year old daughter Abby. Dawn previously home-schooled her daughter for two years, has prior experience working with children as a Sunday school teacher, and taught preschool for a year at a Fireside Christian School in Warrenton, VA. Dawn is a teacher's assistant in the 4th-8th grade classroom.
