Homespun Schoolhouse of Agapé

The Homespun Schoolhouse of Agape offers a private Christian education for grades K-8. Children may attend as full-time students of the private school or as homeschooled students who attend two days per week for supplemental education. The school initially opened for the 2008-09 school year.
Private School
This school blends Classical Christian concepts, Charlotte Mason methods, and Homeschool style multi-age classrooms for a unique private school education.
Students begin their day with the Word and dynamic worship. Younger students focus on a strong foundation of reading skills and math concepts. Latin, math, and literature are the core focus in the older classrooms. All students participate in daily outdoor activities and have art and music exposure/instruction during the week. Students receive a lot of individual attention. Students are met at their level, even if they are on different levels for reading and math. If they are already excelling in an area, they will continue to be challenged. If they are struggling in an area, they will receive encouragement and instruction in order to master that level and continue advancing. Parents are a key part of this process both in knowing their child and in encouraging a love of learning in everyday life.
Private school students attend Monday - Friday from 9:00 am - 3:15 pm.
Homeschool Support
For parents who are homeschooling their children and want to supplement their child's education, the Homespun Schoolhouse of Agapé offers a homeschool support option. Students will attend two days per week with the other students and parents will be assisted with assessment, planning, and choosing curriculum. Parents and students will also be invited to field trips and special events with the rest of the students.
Homeschool students attend Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 am - 3:15 pm.
Additional Childcare
Before and after school childcare is available on the premises through the Agape Kings Kids Daycare.
